good friends, good food, good wine = great time

Thanksgiving was fabulous. good friends, good food, good wine = great time. I think that is my new life motto.
Winter has come back. It's cold and snowy outside and I love it. Especially when I get to sleep in and lounge in my super warm and super comfortable bed until the late morning while listening to my ipod.
The finish of school is fast approaching and my motivation for completing my work is diminishing just as quickly. But never fear my work will get done and my projects will not suck.
I've been looking to buy a new car. I'm still not sure what I'm getting.
I made a fried egg sandwich this morning for breakfast, I forget how much I like fried eggs.

I am seriously unbelievable

I closed the store this evening like I do most Saturday nights. It was laid back and an easy close. As we were walking out the door I grabbed the newspapers to be recycled. We walked out and I locked the door.
The other 2 closers were headed to their cars and both offered me a ride to mine (I was parked the furthest) and I turned them down, like always. I walked to the recycling dumpster and through the newspapers into it. I realized at that exact moment that my car keys were no longer in my hand. I freaked out. I had just thrown my keys into this giant dumpster filled with smashed cardboard boxes and mountains of old newspapers. How am I going to get out of this one? I ran to Art's car to ask him to wait a minute while I find my keys. I go back to the dumpster and slowly move things out of the way to search for them. It is pitch black outside due to the clouds covering the moon... Of course. Art pulls his car to the dumpster and attempts to put some light on the situation to aid me. I'm still rummaging through the piles of cardboard, to no avail, when he gets out of his car to help. He climbs into the dumpster smashing any chance of me feeling like a normal human being...
After what seemed like ages I called the police for help. I didn't know what else to do. We had no flashlight and what felt like no hope of finding anything without one. Of course all officers were busy with more pressing matters. Art is in the dumpster, I'm terribly embarrassed and the dispatcher says "call someone else to help you find them and if you absolutely cannot find them I'll place a call for an officer to come and assist you." oh great. That could be hours. Who am I going to call at this hour? This is the point in the evening that I realized more than ever that I desperately need a life and more friends...
Art offered to take me home to get my spare keys and then drive me back, bless him. He got back in his car and I opened the passenger side door when I told him that I just needed to double check that I didn't leave them on the table or something where the newspapers were. I went to peer in the window. THEY WERE SITTING ON THE TABLE! He spent at least 20 minutes in the dumpster and they were sitting on the table. Thankfully the store keys and my house keys are on a separate key ring that stays in my pocket while I'm working. I unlocked the doors, totally afraid that I will set off the alarm and send the police anyway, grabbed them and reset the alarm. Totally embarrassed, I wave, thank him at least a dozen times and go to my car.
geeze, I am such a dork.
